Micro Design

Interior design has been a passion of mine since childhood. Lucky for me, I got to pursue it as a career and get to dabble in it on the side for a lifetime.

The creation of spaces is something that truly inspires me. I love being able to create something that has a physical, emotional, and spiritual impact on people. Looking at spaces and places designed by others has a huge impact on me. It gets me thinking in new ways that I never considered before. Recently, I saw this video about a micro apartment in New York. The design is so intentional, thoughtful, and beautiful I can barely stand it! Ah! Check out this 3-dimensional, living piece of art! I hope to one day live in a place this well-designed, just not this small. Ha!

New Day, New Party

Wow, do I have a lot of catching up to do on the blog! Allie's book of 2012 has been zapping most of my creative juices so there hasn't been much left over for the blog. Now that it's finally off to print, it's time for me to begin content for 2013.

Our 2013 started off with a New Years Day party for Allie and her friends. I know it must seem like we are constantly throwing parties for Allie when she is here, but we're really not. Ha! It's just important to us that she has normal, real life experiences when she is in Charlotte, like having friends over for parties at her house.

Anyways, I threw together a slew of new years activities and the kids had a great time, even though the weather was pretty dreary.

Now let the silliness begin...

These guys had to work SO hard to remove rocks and roots, but they would not give up on their goal.

 X marks the spot!

What a great way to start the new year with new friends! I can't wait to see what God does in the lives of all five of these special people in 2013!
