The Great Outdoors

On Thursday Zach, Allie, and I went to the US National White Water Center in Charlotte. We had no idea how amazing this place would be! It is seriously one of the coolest outdoor recreation places I have ever been to. You can do everything! From rafting and ropes courses to rock climbing, zip lining, and mountain biking. It's awesome. What's NOT awesome is that these two pics are the only surviving photos from our day in the great outdoors!

Here's Zach towing Allie's kayak when she got too tired to paddle. :)

I took a ton more pics on my iphone, but it malfunctioned later in the day and all was lost. So sad. Oh well, I guess we will have to go back! There really is a ton to do. In four hours we did both rope courses, one of the zip lines, and flatwater kayaking. It was a blast!

Also this week we started geocaching! You might remember we sent Allie a turquoise treasure chest filled with info about geocaching. We found our first one right on the campus of our church. So I don't give away too many details about its hiding place, here are only two pics!
The geocachers!

And of course Allie had to get in some tree climbing this week... one of her most favorite past-times. :) I swear that girl is part squirrel. :)
We all love being outside and are so happy to explore the world around us together in such fun ways!
