A few days ago Allie invited Zach to a Daddy-Daughter Dance coming up in a few weeks at her church. Sadly, due to the short notice, Zach is unable to attend. It breaks our hearts we miss so many little things with Allie. It has definitely been a challenge to stop longing for what we don't have with her and just enjoy the blessing of what we do have when she is living with us.
Anyways, in lieu of this, we will be having our own Daddy-Daughter Dance in March when Allie comes to Charlotte. It's really important to Zach to have this one-on-one time with her and make her feel very special and treasured. I honestly can't wait to help him put this on and make this time for Allie super special and magical.
To start it off right, we mailed her a formal invitation!
The overall size is 5 1/2" x 5 1/2". The materials we used were a white cardstock with linen finish, a colorful chrysanthemum-print cardstock, and a turquoise satin ribbon.
The finished invitation...
I wish I could be there when Allie gets it! :)
I can't wait to post more pictures of all the daddy-daughter festivities to come! Stay tuned! :)
