Welcome to the Art Studio!

Ok... I was going to wait and post about this after Sunday, but I couldn't wait. I'm too excited.

This weekend I will be teaching in the Art Studio at FHC. What's the Art Studio you ask?

The Art Studio is our preschool large group environment where children ages 3 - 5 come to sing, dance, do art, and LOTS of other creative stuff to learn about God and how much He wants to be our best friend. It's seriously the coolest place ever. Check it out...

This place makes me feel so imaginative and free I can't imagine what it's like for a 3 year old! I love it and am so jazzed to be a part of leading these children in creative ways and helping them discover truths about our creative creator. Our lesson this week is on the passage in John when Jesus washes the disciples' feet. Because of this we will be painting WITH our feet and talking about what it means to love each other like God loves us.

Today I went in to prep/paint the background of the canvases we will use over the weekend and got the rest of these detail shots. Gosh I love the Art Studio!

What it's all about!

I am so honored to be a part of this ministry and all the interactive children and family environments at Forest Hill. We cannot wait for Allie to be here and get to participate in "That Thing", the large group environment for children 1st grade  - 5th grade, and "The Big Deal." The Big Deal is the high energy family environment for children AND parents to come and learn about truth and virtues from God's word. If you think the Art Studio is cool, wait until you see The Big Deal! :) Forest Hill definitely invests in children and is hugely passionate about equipping parents to effectively teach and disciple their children.

If you are ever in Charlotte and have children (or even if you don't) you've GOT to come to Forest Hill. You won't regret it!
