Highland Happiness

On our way home from Alabama this week Zach decided to drive through Atlanta so we could eat at one of our favorite lunch spots. Words cannot describe the delicious breakfast, lunch, and bakery items created at Highland Bakery. Being at Highland seriously brings us a ridiculous amount of joy that we can barely contain. Ha! Everything on the menu is fantastic and the atmosphere is cozy and cool.

Here are a few shots of our super quick trip to the ATL and one of our favs...

This bakery is also known for their AMAZING cakes ranging from very simple to highly detailed and intricate sculpting. Cake designer Joshua John Russell actually did our custom wedding cake, a square strawberry layer cake covered in white fondant with ribbons and yellow sugar flowers.

Our modern cake doesn't really show off Joshua's talents like this one he did recently while competing on Food Network Challenge. Joshua and sugar artist partner Karen Portaleo deservingly won the "Beauty and the Beast" episode! Congrats Joshua!

Oh Highland how we love you and hope to enjoy your loveliness again soon!
