Cake and Indians

Allie's 10th birthday was this past Monday and we were so thrilled to celebrate it with her. In honor of the big event, Zach and I decided to design a custom birthday t-shirt. The shirt was inspired by her favorite animal, the wolf!

The t-shirt was a big hit, so we've decided to make this birthday t-shirt making thing an annual event.  Stay tuned for next year! :)

After dinner at Al's favorite place (China Buffet) she opened lots of presents from Nana, Grandma and Granddaddy Faulk, Holly and Jim, and Zach and I. Since Allie is totally into indians/ Native American stuff right now, we gave her some indian-themed gifts including a feather hair tie, bamboo pea shooter, river cane flute, and bow and arrow (she gets the bow and arrow when we get home to Florida!)... all handmade by Cherokee indians.

Presents were of course followed by Allie's cake of choice, yellow cake with chocolate icing. Yum!

Allie is always full of expression...

...aaaand that's the end of the cake serving!
Our post-birthday time continued and included tree climbing, lots of play time with dad, crafts, and music.

Al, we love you more than words can say and look forward to a lifetime of birthdays celebrating how special you are.
