Asheville Eats

During our time in NC, Zach and I spent one evening over in Asheville. We love cities - the narrow streets,  the cozy little restaurants and shops, the normalcy of pedestrian travel to get where you need to go. It seriously made my night to just sit in a cool, funky restaurant and watch the cars and people go by from my second story window seat.

Love that. All of it. Wish I could do it everyday.

Anyways, the point of this post is to recommend the establishments we frequented. They were awesome. I didn't want to wait for my favorite place, Tupelo Honey, so we had to try something new.

Good decision.

Dinner was had at Early Girl Eatery...

This place is sorta like a Flying Biscuit for those Atlantans reading this. Totally delish. How can you go wrong with a place that serves breakfast all day? They also have a mixed berry jam that is outta this world. Yum yum. We tried an assortment of items from the breakfast and dinner menu and everything exceeded expectations. AND it was super affordable. Ahh... love this place!

After dinner we headed over to the French Broad Chocolate Lounge...

This local place is unbelieveably fantastic with all it's handmade desserts, chocolates, drinks, and coffees. OMG. I had the cold sipping chocolate and it was to die for. It totally spit in the face of any chocolate beverage I've ever had. The truffles were delicious too, I might add. :) The ingredients are locally grown and the menu is very vegan/ all-natural so don't be expecting any skim milk or artificial sweeteners if you go. It's all the real deal. The restaurant itself is very relaxing and warm due to the comfy leather seating, soft lighting, and live music.

Gotta check out both these joints if you are ever in Asheville!
